1. Soft-Circuit Workshop: interactive cushion covers

Back by popular demand: our soft-circuit workshop at the V&A.

    soft circuit demo by sophie

Bring a sparkle to your sofa and learn to make your cushions light up when you squeeze or rattle them.

By using conductive thread, LEDs, and E-textiles, you will learn how to build a ‘soft circuit’ into a cushion, and make your interiors interactive. The workshop will lead you through embedding electronics into a cushion provided, but feel free to bring your own textiles or garments to embed the circuit into if you wish.

To mark the 95th Anniversary of The Representation of the People Act, which first allowed women to vote, Norwich Arts Centre has commissioned MzTEK to exhibit a selection of artefacts and photographs illustrating our work over the last 4 years.

Artefacts will include projects devised and developed through MzTEK workshops, the Hacked Human Orchestra wearable instruments, e-textiles, hardware, and the a selection of the amazing teapots from our Chi-TEK showcase of technologically modified teapots.

We will also be running a soft-circuit a workshop at 9th March at Norwich Arts Centre. More details coming soon.
